A bill to legalize medical marijuana continues to gain momentum in New York as the state’s legislature pushes the measure forward, and as organizational support is on the rise.
The measure, which would establish state-licensed dispensaries to distribute marijuana to qualified patients, has already been approved by two committees and now awaits a full Assembly vote: If it’s approved, as is anticipated, it will head to the Senate. In addition to these organizations supporting the measure, recent polling found that an overwhelming 82% of New York residents are also in support.
